baby sleep positioner Discussions| How to let baby sleep better at night? | | My baby is now 9 months old, and he hasn't been sleeping well in more than a week by now. It may be caused by the teething problem, as he always bite his teeth gum during the night when he wakes up. He must be feeling really uncomfortable and always cries in the midnight. Even though I carry him, he still cries for awhile, and I need to find some ways to calm him down. Sometimes, he wakes up almost every hour in the night. Sometimes he cries non-stop, until he's really awake, then he's fine. He'll look around and start to smile too. These two days, he's getting better as he cries less during the night and sometimes I just need to pat him to let him fall sleep when he is about to wake up and cry, but he needs more feed now. I'm afraid he doesn't have enough quality sleep and this will affect his health, though he seems energetic during day time and plays happily while he is awake. I am not sure if it's still because of the teething problem, or he has nightmares or any other issues. This is the first time he always cries during the night. I have no idea how I can help him, besides carrying him, walking around, singing him song to make him sleep.[em]rolleyes[/em]
| | Do you believe in letting a sleeping baby sleep? | | I have a new born and I keep reading different things about never wake a sleeping baby. However, do you let a sleeping baby sleep the day away? Most babies should eat every 2-3 hours. I personally am afraid to let my baby sleep for too long at a time. What do you do? Please share with me your advice.:) I am not sure if it's still because of the teething problem, or he has nightmares or any other issues. This is the first time he always cries during the night. | | Where does the baby sleep? | | Hi all!Do you have a new baby or have had children? When they were born and you just brought them from the hospital, where did you let them sleep? Did you have a separate nursery room or just placed the baby in a crib beside your bed, or did you put the baby between you and your spouse? For us, the baby is between my husband and me—well at least for now. Then maybe, we will get a crib and put her in the same room where we are staying. But that is only when she gets bigger. We like the idea that we can immediately attend to the baby’s needs and easily wake up when she fusses because she is just beside us. Also we think that she is too small yet to put in a big and deep crib. I am not a big woman, so I would have to bend down much to pick her up. In the process, I might lose my balance and drop the baby, God forbid! This is because we don’t have our own crib. We will just borrow. So beggars can’t be choosers. Hehe so for now, the baby stays with us, or literally between. But it is okay, we still can’t do much anyway because I underwent c-section. So it will just be about time when the baby is quite big enough, we can already move her to the crib.Take care all and God... | |
| | What does your baby sleep in? | | My 20 month son sleeps in a cot but he will soon out grow it I think. He has spina bifida so he can't walk. I don't think he would be safe in a toddler's bed. A cot is 120 cm long and lasts until about 2 years old. A cot bed is 140 cm long and lasts until about 5 years old. However my son is large so if I got a cot bed he might keep it until he is 3. What does your baby or toddler sleep in? | |

| | How to make a freshly baby sleep? | | I believe many people esp mother once met such situation: the baby would not go to sleep although it's sleeping time then. No matter how tired the adults are, the baby just looks fresh and energetic.
Have you had any experience to deal with the stubborn baby at that situation? Don't hesitate to share with us.
| | how long does your baby sleep? | | my baby sleep for about 11 hours... i always watch him but still im worried because im not asleep for 11 hours instead guiding him... ahehehehehe... i really feel good watching a baby sleep because it is worth watching... unlike watching an adult sleep for more than 8 hours makes me feel so bad because there are still house chores to do... ahehehehehe LOL.... | |

| | leave your baby sleep alone? | | One of my classmates will give birth to her baby in three month, now they are preparing to welcome the new member of her family. When they talk about whether to buy a small bed for the baby, people have different views here. Some thinks it is needed to buy a small bed for baby, so that it can sleep in its parents' bedroom when it is still young. While my classmates wants to buy a big bed for her baby and leave it sleep in its own room after birth.I do not know which is better for the baby. If you were the parents, what would you do? | |
