| safety 1st baby locks Discussions| Do you think there should be seatbelts on school buses?? | | Lately, I have been hearing about so many school bus accidents in the surrounding areas where I live. So, far, thankfully, no children have been killed, but many have been injured and have to be taken to the hospital. I don't understand why they don't make seatbelts manditory on school buses. It's a law to wear one in your car, and if you are caught without one you get fined. So, is it not just as important to keep our children safe?? I've heard its mostly about money, the cost would be great equip school buses with seatbelts, but my opinion is...they raise taxes for everything else under the sun, so why not to pay for this worthy cause. I personally wouldn't mind paying a bit more on my taxes if it means my little ones and the children of other arrive to and from school safely. | |
| | Carseats | | I have a 5 year old daughter that is 38 lbs. We have an older car that only has lapbelts. Besides the $300 Britax carseats that go up to 65 lbs. does anyone have any other ideas as to keeping her safe. I wouldn't mind spending the money on keeping her safe in a britax if it wasn't a convertable thats already had the top ripped to steal stuff from the car.

| | Do you cross the road when the red light is on?? | | If there are no cars around, will you walk across the roads even the red light is on, or you will wait until it turns to green light?
How about other people? Do they walk across the road and feel strange on you if you wait for the green light?
How long do you need to wait for the green light?
Do you get enough time to corss the road?
What if you are driving, will you keep going at the red light if there are no one on the road??I usually walk cross the road even the red light is on if i do not see any cars coming, but even in the green light,I need to be in a hurry because the drivers here can also cross the roads when the pedestrian green light is on, I feel a bit dangerous even the drivers will not really move when they see you crossing the road, but if I walk across the road slowly, some rude drivers may stare at me .. | |
